Muere el CHIVO EXPIATORIO

Por cierto, ha muerto Tejero, se me olvidaba comentarlo. Gran Chivo Expiatorio del actual Régimen. Por suerte nos queda Zougam.

Como cantaba Ana Belén, "¿Y ahora qué, y ahora qué, y ahora qué vais a hacer sin el chivo?"

Pues seguir como siempre. A este país no le dan las entendederas como para entender estas cosas. Pero en fin, le pongo este comentario al Heraldo de Aragón...

Cervantes y Groenlandia: Historia septentrional

Este artículo examina unos curiosos episodios de la novela póstuma de Cervantes, Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda: Historia septentrional (1617). Dos de los capítulos finales presentan un cuadro bastante fantasioso de unos monasterios cristianos en Groenlandia. La narración de Cervantes se pone aquí en contexto a la luz de su fuente principal, un controvertido relato de viajes y mapa del geógrafo veneciano Nicolò Zeno, amén de unas cartas papales relativas a la remota diócesis medieval de Gardar en Groenlandia, además de algunos hallazgos arqueológicos recientes.

Cervantes and Greenland: A Septentrional Story

This paper examines some intriguing passages in Miguel de Cervantes' posthumous romance, The Travails of Persiles and Sigismunda: A Septentrional Story (1617). Two of the closing chapters give a rather fanciful account of Christian monasteries in Greenland. Cervantes' account is here set in context in the light of his main source, a controverted travel account and map by the Venetian geographer Nicolò Zeno, as well as some Papal letters concerning the remote medieval diocese of Gardar in Greenland, as well as some recent archaeological findings.
