En el artículo comentamos la novela de Umberto Eco La misteriosa llama de la reina Loana (2004), con atención especial a la representación que en ella se hace del yo y de la memoria. El tratamiento de estas cuestiones que hace Eco en la novela revela la constitución intertextual de la identidad personal y de la ideología, y el enraizamiento de ambas en un entorno cultural y discursivo específico.
